In 1986, while working on the sets of the film ‘Aisa Pyaar Kahan’, she fell in love with the film’s producer Pradeep Sharma. When the family did not approve of this relationship, Padmini showed courage and ran away from home and got married. Even after marriage, he continued working in films. Both have a son, Priyank Sharma, who is now an actor himself.

Padmini is known for her simplicity and dignified image. He never did bold scenes. When she was asked for a kissing scene in Raj Kapoor’s film ‘Prem Rog’, she flatly refused.
