Anurag Kashyap recently shared a post on social media about the film Subedar and praised it a lot. He wrote that this film should have been released in theaters instead of coming on the OTT platform Prime Video, because it has been shot keeping the big screen in mind. He said that if it had been seen in the theater with a full audience, the experience would have been even more special.
Kashyap also praised the film’s director Suresh Triveni. He said that the world of Bundelkhand and Chambal region has been shown in a very realistic manner in the film, where the atmosphere of patriarchy and dominance is clearly visible. He also said that this is the land from where stories like Phoolan Devi and Paan Singh Tomar had once emerged.
