Congress workers attacked the BRS party office: Congress workers attacked the local office of BRS (Bharat Rashtra Samithi) in Manuguru area of Telangana’s Khammam district. They ransacked the office, burnt the furniture and hoisted the Congress flag. In the viral video, people can be seen entering the BRS office holding Congress flags and shouting slogans. During the encounter, clashes broke out on both sides and some people were injured. Congress workers also protested and raised slogans demanding “Give us back our office”. On information, police and fire brigade reached the spot and brought the fire under control. A large number of security forces have been deployed.
This is a sign of fear.

The office was seized by force
Meanwhile, Congress workers claim that their offices were forcibly taken over during the BRS regime. They claim that the then MLA occupied the Congress office under police protection and painted BRS pink. “We’ll take it back.”
“This is an example of bullying,” said BRS.
BRS accused the Congress of violence, saying, “Congress is pressure and oppression. If they try to oppress the masses with such thuggery, the people will answer the Congress leaders.” BRS working president KT Rama Rao (KTR) termed this as an example of law and order failure and bullying in the current Congress government. He said, “60 lakh workers of the BRS family are standing by Manuguru. Congress goons need not fear; their arrogance will not last long.”
The office of Congress till July 2020
The issue came to light in July 2020 when the former office of the Congress party was converted into the BRS office. At that time Congress MLA Rega Kanta Rao joined BRS and thereafter the office became BRS. CLP leader Bhatti Wickremarka protested in Manuguru on this issue in 2020. He said that according to municipal records, the building is a Congress property, which has been illegally occupied by the BRS.
Congress complete majority in 2023 elections
In the 2023 Telangana Assembly elections, the Congress won 64 out of 119 seats, while the ruling Bharat Rashtra Samiti (BRS) won 39 seats. BJP won eight seats, AIMIM seven and CPI one.
