‘Thama’ was expected to easily break the records of 3 out of the 4 previous films of the horror comedy universe. However, the film has been able to break the record of only one of these. The film, released on October 21, got the benefit of extended weekend of 6 days but still it has not joined the Rs 100 crore club yet.

Today is the 6th day since the release of the film and it is also Sunday which means the earning of the film is expected to increase. This hope also seems to be fulfilled, but still the film is far away from its first 100 crore club milestone.

Box office collection of ‘Thama’

‘Thama’ collected Rs 24 crore on the opening day, Rs 18.6 crore on the second day, Rs 13 crore on the third day and Rs 10 crore on the fourth day. On the fifth day, the film’s earnings increased and again increased to Rs 13 crores.

Today, till 5:15 pm on the sixth day, the film has earned Rs 6.75 crore and has done a total business of Rs 85.35 crore. Please note that today’s data available on SACNILC is not final. There may be change in this.

‘Thama’ missed breaking these 2 big records in the first weekend

Before ‘Thama’, 4 films were released in the Maddock horror comedy universe. It was expected that ‘Thama’ would break the lifetime collection record of these 3 films on the opening weekend itself, but it did not happen. The film left only ‘Bhediya’ (68.99 crores) behind. The rest of the films are still ahead of this. See the data of these films below-

  • Female – 129.83 crores
  • Wolf- 68.99 crores
  • Munjya- 101.6 crores
  • Stree 2- 597.99 crores

‘Thama’ defeated ‘Jat’

Although ‘Thama’ has not yet been included in the list of 100 crore films, but it has crossed the lifetime collection of Sunny Deol’s ‘Jaat’. Let us tell you that ‘Jaat’, released this year, had done a business of Rs 88.26 crore at the box office according to Sacnilc.

About ‘Thama’

According to the Times of India report, this film, made under the direction of Aditya Sarpotdar, has been made with a budget of Rs 145 crore. This is the reason why Nawazuddin Siddiqui, Ayushmann Khurrana and Rashmika Mandanna’s film Everyday has not been able to recover its budget despite making good collections.
