Director Shekhar Kapur is going to make his first film ‘Masoom’ once again keeping the new generation in mind. On Tuesday, the director gave this information through social media. Shekhar Kapur posted his old picture on Instagram, along with which he also wrote a long note in the caption and told how this film played an important role in his career.
Shekhar Kapur wrote- ‘Those beautiful and happy days, when I was directing Masoom. Making the film was a joy for everyone and the joy is visible in the film, even though it was set many years ago. This is the reason why today wherever I go, people ask and talk to me about the film Masoom. Among them, there are many youth who were not even born at the time of the film’s release. They have seen it on TV or YouTube.
Shekhar is making the sequel of ‘Masoom’ for the new generation
The director told that he is going to make ‘Masoom’ for the new generation. He said- ‘Now that I am going to make the sequel of ‘Masoom’, I want to feel the joy of making that film again.’ He said that he has just returned from Mumbai and talked to his filmmaking friends, most of whom understand the work of filmmaking.

Shekhar writes- ‘This was my first directorial film. In this, I did not work as an assistant with anyone, nor did I read any book on film making. I just wanted to tell the story and do it as simply and honestly as possible. Now things like simplicity, happiness, honesty and storytelling have ended in films? Has the new funding system created an environment that is against creativity?
The director says, ‘Now there is such an environment in which people with MBA or management interfere and forget that real creativity comes from the feeling of a person’s heart, spontaneity and his own identity. Well… now I will see for myself and hope that the new ‘Masoom’ will be as seen in the picture above.
