Andhra Pradesh Women Empowerment News: Andhra Pradesh, which is one of the states with the highest number of women’s savings societies in the country, is taking steps to take key decisions. The coalition government is taking a revolutionary step towards women empowerment. MEPMA has announced a special program for members of Dwacra with an aim to train members of thrift societies as entrepreneurs.
Women’s groups will not only be given financial assistance but will also be given state-of-the-art digital training. They will be granted easy loans. Branding is created for marketing. A comprehensive package has been prepared with WhatsApp services that provide complete transparency. Schemes are being designed so that women’s businesses gain national recognition and sell their products on e-commerce platforms.

Usually SHGs focus only on savings and mutual loans. According to the new plan, MEPMA officials have made available 8 types of services that are directly and indirectly useful for every community member to increase their business potential. The most unique among them is ‘Prajna Virtual Training Academy’. Through this academy, women members are trained on the most important topics like digital literacy and financial literacy. This training is available in the form of 12 different online certificate courses.
Digital skills are essential for doing business in the 21st century. Must have knowledge of money management, online marketing and handling of cash transactions. This ‘Prajna’ aims to make them not just run small units but to adapt to the modern business world. By completing these online courses, community members can access 12 different opportunities for self-employment.
Loan assistance after training, employment for 10 people
This scheme does not stop with just training. As soon as the training is completed, the women entrepreneurs are granted bank loans to enable them to set up their businesses. The woman who established the units using these loans, created a program to provide employment opportunities to at least ten people and support their economic progress. That is, if one lakh entrepreneurs are created, they can directly provide employment to ten lakh people.
Branding with ‘Avani’
Marketing is often the biggest problem for products made by members of women’s groups. Lack of quality branding is also a problem. To correct this shortcoming, the government has formulated a special policy called ‘Avani Branding Manual’. Through ‘Avani’, uniform branding and packing procedures have been created for all Mepma member products on e-commerce platforms. Women’s products will get a professional look through this new approach. By doing this, the products will be recognized in the domestic and international market. Going into the market with a single brand also increases consumer confidence in those products. The result is good recognition.
A promotional book titled ‘Livelihood Promotions’ has also been published to promote business ideas. It includes various business ideas that can be easily started by members of women’s groups in urban areas.

Till now ‘Mana Mitra WhatsApp Services’ is available to the public. It includes the details required by women’s groups. This will be a major milestone. Through this WhatsApp service, community members can check their details anytime, anywhere. Their savings, debt, SLF, TLF details, audit report details of societies can also be known through this ‘Mana Mitra’ WhatsApp. This will increase transparency. Increases confidence among members. By having a complete understanding of their finances, women can make more informed business decisions.
Prerna Sakhi, Leap book
For a scheme to succeed, guidance and inspiration are essential. Keeping this aspect in mind, the government has undertaken two special documentation processes. The details of those who have succeeded and their case studies will be told.
1. Prerana Sakhi: Through these, success stories of women running top businesses are published among community members. By sharing these success stories with other members, they can get inspired and grow their businesses.
2. Leap Book: Through this book, details of women who have taken advantage of livelihood opportunities are given. Audit reports are entered in it. The government can continuously monitor the implementation of the scheme.
Breaking the old ways, the government is redefining women empowerment through innovative programs like digital training, technology transparency, e-commerce compliant branding and organizational training. With this, the coalition government hopes to change the economic picture of Andhra Pradesh in the next five years.
