If you experience lightheadedness, blurred vision or loss of consciousness on a regular basis, it means that the brain is not getting enough oxygen. This could be a sign of poor blood supply to the heart. Don’t dismiss this as a weakness. Especially if you get tired of doing simple tasks, don’t give up at all.
Waking up repeatedly during the night, not being able to sleep due to coughing, shortness of breath while lying down can be a sign of heart related problems. They are more troublesome when lying down. Because at that time blood circulation in the body increases and breathing becomes difficult.

Swelling in the legs or ankles causes peripheral edema. This happens when blood flow slows down and fluid begins to accumulate in the surrounding tissue. This swelling is mostly seen in legs and ankles.
A classic symptom of heart failure is shortness of breath, waking up suddenly at night gasping for air, or having to prop up the pillows. This is called orthopnea. It happens when the heart does not pump blood properly. This causes fluid to accumulate in the lungs.
