Air India: A bus of Air India’s ground handling service provider company AI SATS suddenly caught fire at Delhi Airport’s Terminal 3 (T3). The incident took place near bay number 32, which was a few meters away from the ship.
Fortunately, there were no passengers in the bus at that time, which prevented a major accident from happening. Firefighters reached the spot and brought the fire under control. There have been no reports of injuries or nearby damage. Airport officials said that an investigation into the cause of the fire has been started. An official statement from Air India is awaited. The incident caused a bit of commotion at the airport, but the situation is now reported to be completely normal.
Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International Airport is one of the busiest airports in the country, with three terminals and four runways. It has the capacity to handle more than 100 million passengers annually. Terminal 3 (T3) is one of the largest terminals in the world and serves approximately 400 million passengers annually.

This terminal is used for both domestic and international flights. Its ground floor serves as the arrival area and the upper floor serves as the departure area. Last week, the airport reopened its Terminal 2 (T2) after renovations, improving passenger amenities. This is expected to improve both the capacity and operational efficiency of the airport.
