It must be said that the railways in India and the routes they take are amazing. Many people look forward to traveling on different types of train routes. No matter how many means of travel there are, a train journey is a kick. But there are four routes that train lovers in India must travel. Travel on those routes is a miracle, their suggestion. Let’s see those routes.
1) Jodhpur – Jaisalmer (Travel through Thar Desert)
“Thar” is the only desert in India. A railway passes through this desert in Rajasthan. This is the main mode of transportation for the people living there. Traveling by trains from Jodhpur to Jaisalmer for a distance of 300 km is a new experience for the tourists. Jodhpur has two stations. One is Jodhpur and two is Bhagatki Kothi. 6 trains run to Jaisalmer from these two stations. 3. The travel time is six hours. It is an experience to see the beauty of the desert while traveling in these trains that run completely through the desert. There are 2 direct trains from Hyderabad to Jodhpur and 4 from Vijayawada.
2) Vijayawada/Hyderabad – Goa (Via Dudh Sagar Falls)
Tourists call the journey through forests, caves and hills a life-long experience on the Konkan Railway, which is said to be a marvel of railway engineering. Especially on the Goa route, traveling by train with the view of the Dudh Sagar (Sea of Milk) waterfall, which is 50 km from Vasco Dagama station, is truly a miracle. Located on the Karnataka-Goa border, this is the best season to visit this waterfall. The train plying this route between October and March gives the passengers a lifetime experience of the Dudhsagar Falls. There are 4 direct trains from Hyderabad to Goa and 1 from Vijayawada.
3) Mandapam – Rameswaram (Sea Adventure Trains)
We regularly see trains traveling on rivers, but to experience the train journey across the sea, you have to go to the Pamban Bridge between Mandapam and Rameswaram in Tamil Nadu. The train takes an hour to travel between these two stations which are just 17 km apart. The reason is the ocean between these two stations. The 2 km long Pamban Bridgefi train crosses the sea with strong winds. It is a magical journey that is both blissful and terrifying. Although there are direct trains from Vijayawada to Hyderabad to Rameshwaram, all of them get dark by the time they reach Rameshwaram. So it is better to leave Mandapam first and take day time train from there. There is also a direct train from Tirupati to Rameswaram.
5) Srinagar – Katra Train.. (Magnificent in snow hills)
Taking a train journey in the Himalayas looking at the snow.. the idea sounds so wonderful. Recently, that miracle has come true with the newly constructed Srinagar Railway. This railway travels for 200 km through high mountains, huge tunnels, deep flowing rivers and terrifying valleys on a completely snow-covered route. It is the railway route from Srimata Vaishno Devi Katra to Sri Nagar. Two Hundred Indias are running from Katra to Srinagar. Apart from this, some passenger trains are also plying on Srinagar-Baramulla line. Those who have taken this route say that this journey is truly a miracle.
