Mumbai Kidnapping Incident:The kidnapping case at RA Studio in Powai, Mumbai created a sensation. The accused Rohit Arya called the children in the name of web series audition and then kidnapped them. He attacked the police. He was injured in police firing and died while undergoing treatment. At 8 am all the children and accused Rohit Arya reached the studio in Powai.
The accused called the children inside and closed the doors, after some time sending a video to the parents present. He said, “Share this video on social media.” When this video came out, there was panic among the parents and the city was also in turmoil.
A member of the society informed the police
Around 1:30 PM, the society member reached the Powai Police Station and informed about the entire incident. After that, the police immediately reached the RA studio. There was a phone conversation between the police and the accused for about an hour.
Initially the accused cooperated with the police
Initially, the accused listened to the police and cooperated. Deepak Kesarkar’s name was also mentioned in the conversation. The accused said, “I don’t believe you.”
Last call to accused at 2 p.m
When the suspect became uncooperative, police began maneuvering to gain entry. The accused was called for the last time at 2 pm. They said, ‘We will fulfill your demands, leave the children’.
The accused was spoken to the family members
The police also spoke to the accused’s family members, but to no avail. Operation planning started around 3 pm. At 3:30 the police started breaking the grills. A police team entered at 4:30 p.m. When the police went inside, they found that the accused had divided the children into two groups, locked 8 children in one room and kept the other group with him.
Police entered the studio through the bathroom
He sprinkled chemicals all over the floor where the accused was, which made the situation more dangerous. The police team entered the studio through the bathroom passage. First there is API Amol Waghmare, who is in civil dress. The accused did not recognize them as police because of their civilian dress.
The accused was surprised to see the police
When the police entered, the accused asked, “Who are you and how did you come?” He asked. Then he bent down to take something out of his bag. At the same time API Amol Waghmare fired. It hit Rohit Arya on the right side of his chest.
According to the police, the firing was done with a 9 mm pistol. Only one round was fired. Later, the injured accused Rohit Arya was rushed to the hospital, where he died while undergoing treatment.
During the investigation it was found that the accused had posted the web series audition advertisement on social media. This audition is going on for the last four days. 17 children were selected for the final list.
