Therefore, Rohit Sharma was awarded the man of the match as well as the man of the series award for his good performance in the series. Virat Kohli, who was dismissed for zero in the first two matches, scored 74 runs in the third ODI. Interestingly, Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli shared a partnership of 168 runs for the second wicket. This partnership gave India a one-sided victory against Australia. BCCI has shared a video of Gambhir addressing Gambhir in the dressing room after the match. Gambhir praised the 69-run opening partnership between openers Rohit and Shubman Gill. Gambhir described the partnership as crucial while chasing a target of 237 runs. Gambhir then also praised the partnership between Rohit and Kohli.
