Veteran actor Satish Shah died on Saturday in Mumbai at the age of 74 due to kidney failure. His last rites were performed on Sunday. He has played many characters in his long career, but he got a lot of popularity from the show ‘Sarabhai vs Sarabhai’. In this show he played the iconic character of Indravadan Sarabhai. The entire team of the show became very emotional while attending his funeral at Pawan Hans cremation ground. During this, the team of ‘Sarabhai…’ bid an emotional farewell to Satish Shah by singing the theme song of the show in front of the funeral pyre.
Sumit Raghavan, who played the character of Sahil in the show, Rupali Ganguly, who played the character of Monisha, and Rajesh Kumar, who played the character of Rosesh Sarabhai, were also present during the funeral of Satish Shah. Producer JD Majethia, director Deven Bhojani and writer-director Aatish Kapadia were also present on the occasion. Actor Paresh Ganatra was also present with him. While singing the title track of ‘Sarabhai…’, he could not control his tears. Now Deven Bhojani has revealed why the team sang this song in front of Satish Shah’s funeral pyre.

While sharing the video, Deven Bhojani wrote, “It may sound crazy, dark, strange, but this is what we always sing together and today was no exception. It felt as if Indu herself had insisted and included us. Rest in peace Satish Shah ji, I had the privilege of directing you Sara Bhai Vs Sarabhai, you will always be alive in our hearts.”
Meanwhile, Rajesh Kumar wrote, “Last goodbye.. Sarabhai couldn’t be complete without singing.. Long live Indu.. Kaka did you hear.. I also tried to sing and felt emotional love from the team too.”
