IND vs AUS Semi Final World Cup Reserve Day Rule : The IND vs AUS Women’s World Cup 2025 Semi-Final between India and Australia will be played in Navi Mumbai. Currently, Mumbai is experiencing rainy weather and thus the weather is constantly changing. The recent group match between India and Bangladesh in Navi Mumbai was canceled due to rain. Now the second semi-final match will also be held at the same ground. In such a situation, even if there is rain, the match will not be stopped because a reserve day has been set for it. But the question is, if the match is not played due to rain, will India be outright out of the tournament? And will India or Australia play in the final?
If the match on 30 October cannot be completed due to rain, it will be played on 31 October. But if it rains on that day too and the match is called off, Australia will enter the final, as they were ranked higher than India in the group stage.
Understand ICC Rules in 4 Points
Rule 1 : Attempts will be made to complete the match on the original day itself. Overs will be reduced if required.
Rule 2 : If the overs are shortened due to rain in the semi-final, and the match is postponed to the next day, the match will be treated as 50 overs when it is resumed.
Rule 3 : If a match is stopped twice due to rain, the same count as the overs that were reduced the first time will be applied on the next day. A minimum of 20 overs must be played per team for a result.
Rule 4 : If the match is abandoned even on the Reserve Day, the team which is higher in the group stage will enter the final.
