Punjabi actor and singer Diljit Dosanjh was recently seen in Amitabh Bachchan’s show Kaun Banega Crorepati 17. Where he talked a lot with Amitabh and also made many revelations about his family. During the episode, Diljit opened up about his childhood struggles and his deep love and respect for his father.
Diljit revealed in the show that he was just 10 or 11 years old when his parents sent him to live with his maternal uncle. He said he felt very sad because his parents did not even ask him before sending him, and he was able to meet them only once every three or four months. The singer then spoke fondly about his father and his humble nature.
Said this about his father
Diljit said- ,My father worked in a government job, he was a ticket checker in roadways. He was like a saint who lived a very simple life. He didn’t have many desires – just a bicycle and he loved mangoes. Once he told me – Son, you will get food to eat, you will get a house to live, whatever else you want to do in life, you can do it yourself., During that time, Diljit told about singing in birthday parties and weddings. With which he used to help his family.
This much money was received for singing at the wedding
Diljit said- ,After my first album was released, someone booked me for a birthday party and we performed there. After that, money started coming in and I felt good because my father’s salary used to end at the beginning of the month. So I realized that this work pays well, and God blessed me. After that, whoever came to our office, we never let him go empty handed. Be it a wedding, birthday or any function, we used to perform. We 2,000 But he started with shows and performed in countless weddings.,
