Hanuman Producer Niranjan Reddy Complaint Against Director Prasanth Varma : Prashant Varma entered the industry as a director with the movie ‘A’ in 2018. After that he got a good craze with ‘Zambireddy’. He got the biggest success with the movie ‘Hanuman’ and became a pan India level director. After that Prashanth announced a series of projects from the cinematic universe. The second movie ‘Mahakali’ is being made in this universe. While Prashanth Varma is providing the story and screenplay for this project… Pooja Aparna Kollur is directing.
Recently, it seems that the producers are angry with Prashant Varma. They say that if they want to make films by taking advances from them… they will provide story and screenplay and make them with assistant directors. It seems that they said that this matter will be resolved in the film chamber itself. Recently, Niranjan Reddy, the producer of ‘Hanuman’, filed a complaint against Prashant Varma in the Film Chamber.
100 crore should be given
Currently this matter has become a hot topic in the industry. Niranjan Reddy said that after the movie ‘Hanuman’, they will do films like Adhira, Mahakali, Jai Hanuman, Brahma Rakshasa… They have taken advances of Rs.10.3 crore from them. But, they said that they are not making films… Moreover, they bought the ‘Octopus’ movie from other producers with them for Rs.10.23 crores. The movie is not even getting NOC. Rs.100 crore compensation is required from Prashant Varma under the loss of business opportunities of these 5 films. Also, I gave an advance of Rs. crore for the movie Adhira. Give them all back.’ It is stated in the complaint. Niranjan Reddy expressed his grief before the Film Chamber that a decision should be taken soon and the money due to them should be given.
Prashant Verma’s reaction
Director Prashanth Verma responded on this issue. He said that he did not say anywhere that he would do those films… at least there were no agreements. If there is any issue in the case of ‘Octopus’, it should be resolved with the producer. Hanuman movie collected Rs.295 crores. I want to get a share from the profits of the film. But only Rs.15.82 crores were received. That is my share in Hanuman movie. They took my money and diverted it to other movies.
It is said that an advance of Rs. crore has been given for ‘Adhira’. But it was given to direct the teaser. They are weaving these stories to extract the money due to me from the film Hanuman.’ Said that. It remains to be seen what turn this controversy will take.

The wrath of the producers!
However, after the success of ‘Hanuman’, it seems that many big production houses have come forward to make movies with Prashant Varma. There have been reports that Prashanth has taken advances ranging from Rs.80 crores to Rs.100 crores from the respective producers. It is heard that he is also building his own studio in Hyderabad with this money. Now if you ask about movies, Prashanth says that he will not make movies unless he supervises the story and direction. There are also reports that the producers are ready to file a complaint against him in Filmchamber.
While DVV Entertainments is also included in this list… Recently DVV Danayya has given clarity on this. They clarified that they did not give any remuneration to Prashant Verma.
