BCCI on Shreyas Iyer Health Update : Shreyas Iyer suffered a serious injury during the third ODI against Australia in Sydney. According to sources, Shreyas has been in the ICU for the past two days, after reports came in he was diagnosed with internal bleeding and had to be admitted urgently. Shreyas was admitted to the intensive care unit (ICU) of the hospital after he hit his ribs while taking the catch and started bleeding internally. BCCI’s medical team is monitoring the situation and his condition is currently said to be stable. Due to this injury, Shreyas is considered uncertain for the next few matches.

Initially, there were reports about Iyer’s injury that he had undergone surgery. However, Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) secretary Devjit Saikia clarified in an interview with The Times of India that no surgery was done on Iyer. Doctors have stopped the internal bleeding in his body with a different treatment method.

Shreyas Iyer Health Update News

Devjit Saikia said, “Shreyas Iyer is now much better than before. His health is improving faster than expected, even the doctors are surprised.” He added, “I am in constant touch with team India doctor Dr. Rizwan. He is staying with Iyer in Sydney at the hospital. Normally it takes 6 to 8 weeks to recover from this type of injury, but Shreyas will be fully recovered before then.” Saikia further informed, “Doctors are satisfied with Iyer’s condition. He has resumed daily activities. The injury was severe, but now Shreyas is completely safe. That’s why he has been shifted from ICU to general ward.”

Shreyas Iyer was injured while catching Australia’s Alex Carey in the third ODI in Sydney. He was seen writhing in pain after taking the catch and was immediately taken off the field. He was then admitted to a hospital in Sydney. According to the BCCI, Iyer suffered an injury to the lower part of his left rib and suffered internal bleeding. As per the current latest update, Shreyas Iyer is now completely safe and his condition is stable.
