Many women are seen crying as they go to the temple for Ekadashi puja. Also, puja materials are seen in the hands of some women. Moreover, the video also shows those injured in the stampede being taken in ambulances so that they can be treated at the nearest hospital in time. It is reported that many of them are seriously injured
How exactly did the incident happen?
The accident in Andhra Pradesh took place on the holy occasion of Ekadashi in the month of Kartik. A huge crowd of devotees had gathered in the temple for darshan. According to initial reports, crowd pressure suddenly increased near the entrance of the temple premises, leading to confusion among the people and a stampede situation. Many fell down and many others began to fall from their bodies. As soon as the information was received, the administration started relief and rescue operations. The injured have been admitted to a nearby government hospital and are undergoing treatment. The district administration has kept a close watch on the situation and additional police force has been deployed to keep the situation under control.

The local administration has ordered an inquiry into the accident. Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu has expressed grief over this. I have directed the authorities to give the best treatment to the injured. “I have asked the local authorities and public representatives to visit the spot and monitor the relief work,” he said.
