Uvarshi Dholakia said- ‘There were some special moments, breakthrough moments in all the shows at that time. When Mihir died, in front of me, I remember that a phone was kept downstairs in Balaji’s office. That line was not shutting down. That phone kept ringing. Shweta Tiwari further says- ‘People had come to the door, Balaji’s gate. A group of people had come to bring back Mihir.

There was a lot of protest against Mihir’s death.
Let us tell you that before this, Amar Upadhyay himself had shared the reaction of the audience regarding the death of Mihir Virani. In an interview given to ABP News, he had said – ‘Ekta had exaggerated the entire episode of Mihir’s death so much that when it finally happened, there was chaos everywhere. When this episode was telecast for the first time, I remember my mother was crying watching it and I was thinking that I am alive, sitting next to you. Late at night I got a call from Balaji Telefilms that their email servers had crashed and telephone lines were jammed due to the massive protests over Mihir’s death.

Women had come to mourn wearing white sarees
Amar Upadhyay had also told during this time that after the death of Mihir in ‘Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi’, women had reached his house wearing white sarees. He had said- ‘I woke up and the doorbell rang. There were 15-20 women standing outside my house, all of them were wearing white sarees. She was shocked as soon as she saw me. When my mother asked him, he told that he had come to mourn Mihir’s death. My mother got angry. He scolded them and sent them away.
