Cyclone Montha in the Bay of Bengal and the deep depression over the Arabian Sea have completely changed the weather pattern of the country. According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), large parts of the country will remain under the spell of rain for the next 4 to 5 days.
A warning of heavy rain and strong winds has been issued in Andhra Pradesh, Odisha and Tamil Nadu due to the cyclone. Along with this, the weather has suddenly changed in many parts of North India. The impact of this storm is being seen in Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh, Jharkhand, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar and Delhi-NCR.
It will rain in Delhi today
The weather of Delhi-NCR will be very cold today, Tuesday i.e. October 28. Cool winds will blow during the day. Even on Monday, there was no sunshine in Delhi. According to the Meteorological Department, there have been major changes in the weather due to the activation of the Western Disturbance. The sky will remain cloudy on Tuesday as well and light rain is likely to occur in many parts of Delhi-NCR.
The weather in Uttar Pradesh (UP) has also changed due to Cyclone Montha. It is currently raining in many parts of UP. Monday was cloudy almost the entire day, with which the night weather also turned cold. Meteorologist Atul Kumar Singh said that the cyclonic storm Montha in the Bay of Bengal is bringing rapid changes in the weather of the state.
According to the IMD, there is a possibility of thunder and lightning along with rain over many parts of western and eastern UP today. While on October 29, the weather of western UP may remain clear. Meanwhile, there will be chances of thunder and lightning in some parts of eastern UP. Similarly, rain and thundershowers are likely to occur in some parts of western UP and many parts of eastern UP on October 30.
The weather of Madhya Pradesh has also changed suddenly. Rain is continuing in many areas of the state due to pressure from the Arabian Sea. Rain was recorded in more than 10 districts on Monday. Sheopur received the highest rainfall of over 2 inches in just 9 hours, while Datia recorded nearly 1 inch.
According to the Meteorological Department, such weather will continue for the next three-four days. The department has issued an alert for rain with thunder and lightning in many parts of Madhya Pradesh from October 28 to 30.
A big change will be seen in the weather of Bihar. Cyclone Montha, which became active in the Bay of Bengal, is now moving towards the state. The Patna Meteorological Center has issued a warning saying that heavy rains with gusty winds may occur in many parts of the state this week. Scattered rains are likely to occur from the sky and the minimum temperature will also drop during this time.
