However, Team India refused to accept the trophy from Asian Cricket Council President and PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi. After this, Mohsin Naqvi left the field with the trophy. Since then, India has not won the Asia Cup trophy. One of the reasons is that Mohsin Naqvi is adamant about handing over the trophy to India’s representative. Now BCCI has prepared a special plan to accept the trophy.

According to the report, BCCI is going to raise this issue before the ICC to get the Asia Cup trophy. According to a report in India Today, the BCCI will raise the issue of the Asia Cup trophy dispute at the ICC meeting in Dubai next month. The ICC meeting will be held in Dubai from November 4 to 7. It is expected that other member countries of ICC will support India’s position in this meeting.
Asian Cricket Council meeting was held on September 30. In this meeting BCCI Vice President Rajeev Shukla opposed the action of Mohsin Naqvi. Rajeev Shukla had said that the Asia Cup trophy is not a personal property of anyone. Shukla had said that the Indian team is the real contender for the trophy.
Naqvi insisted on giving the trophy himself
Asian Cricket Council and PCB President Mohsin Naqvi said that the Asia Cup 2025 trophy is in the ACC office. Naqvi’s stand is that some BCCI official or Team India player should come to the ACC office and take the trophy from me. BCCI has also rejected this proposal. Currently, the Asia Cup trophy is kept at the Asian Cricket Council office in Dubai.
