Australia beat India 2nd T20 : The second match of the T20I series between India and Australia was played in Melbourne. Australia won the match easily against India and took a 1-0 lead in the series. As the first match of the series was canceled due to rain, this match was crucial for both the teams, but Team India could not make the most of the opportunity. Now, if India wants to win this series, they have to win the next three matches.

The 17-year-old Vijay Rath stopped in Melbourne
Prior to this match, the Indian team had played a total of 6 T20I matches at the historic MCG ground in Melbourne, winning 4 of them and losing only once that too in 2008. After that, India remained undefeated on this ground for 17 years, but finally this victory came to a halt.
Australia won by 6 wickets
Chasing the easy target of 126 runs set by India, Australia got off to a flying start and cruised to victory in just 13.2 overs. Captain Mitchell Marsh and Travis Head shared a half-century partnership for the first wicket. Marsh was dismissed for 46 off 26 balls, while Head bounced back with 28 off 15 balls. India also took the wickets of Josh English (20), Tim David (1), Mitchell Owen (14) and Matthew Short (0). Jasprit Bumrah took two consecutive wickets in an over. Finally, Marcus Stoinis scored 6 runs off 6 balls to give Australia victory in 13.2 overs.

India’s batting was in shambles again
India batted very disappointingly in the second T20 match. Only two batsmen could score past ten. Both Abhishek Sharma (68) and Harshit Rana (35) helped India reach 125 runs. In the Powerplay, India lost 4 wickets for just 40 runs. As a result, Australia were set a modest target of 126 runs, which they easily achieved.
