In this innings, Nair left the Kerala bowlers running wild. When he came out to bat, Karnataka were in dire straits, with two batsmen back to the pavilion for just 13 runs. But due to Karun Nair’s strong innings, the team made a brilliant comeback.
Karun crossed the 200-run mark in 358 balls in which he hit 21 fours and 2 sixes. Interestingly, he scored an unbeaten 174 against Goa in the previous match as well. Due to such consistent form, there is a discussion that Karun Nair can once again come to Team India.
Karun Nair disappointed on England tour
Karun Nair was included in Team India’s Test squad for the England Test series after a long break. After almost eight years, he got an opportunity to play for the Indian team, but he could not capitalize on those opportunities. Karun scored a half-century in just one of his eight innings during the England tour, prompting the selectors to drop him from the squad. But now, Karun is once again showing his batting skills and grabbing the attention of the selectors.
