Sikandar Shaikh Arrested News : International wrestler Sikandar Shaikh Arrested who won the Maharashtra Kesari in Kolhapur’s Gangavesh Talim is currently in trouble. Punjab Police has arrested him in arms smuggling case. A CIA team busted a racket supplying weapons to the Papala Gurjar gang and arrested four people, including Sikandar Shaikh.
Police have seized Rs 1 lakh 99 thousand in cash, 5 pistols, some cartridges and two cars namely Scorpio-N and XUV from the accused. In this case, a case has been registered under the Arms Act at the Kharad police station in Punjab.

SSP Harman Hans told a press conference that the arrested accused are directly linked to Vikram alias Papla Gurjar gang active in Haryana and Rajasthan. The accused used to bring weapons from Uttar Pradesh and sell them in Punjab and nearby areas. Acting on the intelligence received, the police acted and during the investigation found out that the three accused were from criminal background. However, the Maharashtra Police has been contacted to inquire whether Sikander Sheikh has a criminal record in Maharashtra.
Crimes of murder and robbery against Danveer who is the main accused
Investigations revealed that Danveer, the main accused in the case, has been booked in Haryana, Uttar Pradesh and Rajasthan for several serious crimes including murder, robbery, breaking of ATMs, Arms Act. He was an active member of the Papala Gurjar gang and used to bring arms from Uttar Pradesh and Madhya Pradesh and sell them in Punjab.

On October 24, Danveer and his accomplice Bunty came to Mohali with two pistols in an XUV. They were going to give these weapons to Sikandar Sheikh, while Sikandar planned to give them to Krishna alias Happy of Nayagaon. The police nabbed the trio from Airport Chowk and on information received, Krishna Kumar alias Happy was also arrested on October 26. Three more pistols were seized from him.
Arms smuggling from Kesari to Maharashtra
Sikander Shaikh is an international class wrestler who was recruited in the Army from the sports quota. However, he left the job after some time. He is a BA graduate and married. For the past five months, he was living in a rented house in Mullapur Garibdas, Punjab. According to the police, he was playing the role of middleman in arms smuggling chain.
